Welcome to Episode 29, which includes a song by our editorial assistant Cye Watkins and a series of linked poems from JR Pearson about CIA mind control experiments in the 1950s. The project was called MK Ultra, and just skimming the Wikipedia article will show you it's pretty fascinating (and disturbing). JR reads the first of his poems and Alex Copeland, Ryan Wollard, Amy Watkins and John Babshaw read the others.

I'm so impressed with your editing skills. Being a part of the recording process was a lot of fun. And knowing how often we screwed up pronunciation and/or giggled makes your finished product even more impressive. Bravo Amy.

Ryan, Alex, John and I recorded this one together. There's definitely another outtakes episode coming!

Ryan you rocked! Alex has this easy way about him and Amy is perfect! John grounded that poem to life! I'm in awe really. Thanks for the cool episode. Off to brag to all my "peers."

Just as a side note these poems are all about the experiences of Dr Olsen whom the CIA shot up with LSD and ended up spread eagle out a hotel window. Dr Olsen is the "he" all the poems are referring. Set as interviews of the major players. The 5th poem was written in Pigeon English as a reference to the Aural Concussion program.

The whole business is freaky.
