Happy New Year!

We're starting 2011 with poems by and about strong women bearing witness. Colleen's poem "I Know Women" was first published in Red River Review.

In the after party, Amy sums up what RLS has accomplished in 2010 and some of our goals for 2011. One of our goals is to better promote the podcast to new listeners. You can help by sharing the link with your friends, liking us on Facebook and submitting to submissions@redlionsq.com. As always, we are happy to hear your comments and suggestions in the comments section.

Here's to the start of a new year full of joy and poetry!

I'm excited to hear my poems next to Colleen Kolhoff's.

I learned about Red Lion Square on Twitter and spread the word about this post on that and other social networks.

A writeup in Poets & Writers will definitely expand the audience. I sent an email letting them know of your work.

Patricia, I love your poems, and the juxtaposition between your poems and Colleen's was really pleasing. Great episode!

I was pulled right into to Colleen's poem, Vexed. The atmosphere and figures in the poem were so wonderfully rendered; I listened and re-listened to this poem, even more engaged the second tme around. Thank you!

I'm so fast that, last night, I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark.
