Episode 1 - Richard Newman, Jesse Jay Ross 05/31/2010
Press the "play" button to listen online or right click "Episode 1" below the player and select "save target as" to download the file for listening on your mp3 player or iPod. Our first episode includes poems by Richard Newman and Jesse Jay Ross. Find out more about our contributors on the "People" page. After the regular episode, stick around for the after party, a very casual few minutes of conversation with Amy, Alex and Jesse Ross. We'd love to hear your comments! Oh, and I used the wrong closing credits and didn't mention my peerless co-editor, Jae Newman. I'll correct it in Episode 2; in the meantime, you just have to know that Jae rocks. Congratulations on your first pod-voyage! Maiden-cast? Excellent work, excellent poems. Marvin 06/01/2010 14:22
Good job, all! Was that Alex playing guitar? ross 06/03/2010 04:36
Awesome! That line, something like "i also am tired of the month of march" made me laugh out loud. (and where did Alex's poetry voice come from? it's excellent!) Congrats to everyone involved! 06/03/2010 13:02
From "Gwen" -- Expertly executed! I like how you recorded both male and female voices, regardless of the poet's gender. I like the pacing of the readings. The subdued guitar music resonates with the subdued personal poetry. The after-party segment is a neat addition. "Bless the hearts" of all of you involved with this fine production (no insult intended with my use of "bless the hearts"!). Erin Westfall 06/05/2010 10:22
Incredibly well done you guys! Listening to poetry being read is truly a completely different experience than reading it on a page. Can't wait for the next podcast. Bryan Birmele 06/07/2010 15:57
Congrats guys, that was beautiful. Can't wait for the next episode! Ramiro 08/03/2010 01:14
hey kids. This is really cool stuff, and apparently it ages well, because today is August something and this has stayed cool since the end of May (judging by other comments). Congrats! 09/07/2010 12:35
